Who creates the plans?
Our contributors vary from professionals with decades of woodworking experience to companies and institutions, from enthusiastic beginners to professional youtubers. You can find our more about the plans author on each of the plans page.
Do you offer multiple download formats?
This depends on the plans themselves. Some are simple PDFs, some are sketch up files and some of the more complicated builds offer full step by step video tutorials as well. The plans format will be clearly labeled on the plans page.
If a plan is updated can I re-download it?
Annoyingly... it depends. Our guidance to all creators is that 'small' updates to plans should be offered for free to previous buyers but if the output materially varies to the point where it could be considered a different product then it's acceptable to sell this as another version. If you have a question about a specific plan please reach out.
Do you check plans for quality?
We sense check each plan sold to ensure it's of a good enough quality. That being said we don't build every plan as that could take too long so we rely on our experience of building from woodworking plans to check that each plan sold has the required components. If you find out that there is a fundamental error in the plan to the point that you cannot build it or it's not fit for use, please let us know and we will take the appropriate action.
We do sense check free plans too but, given they're offered for free, there is more flexibility given here as we believe that a good plan that gives you 90% of what you need is better than no plan at all! With that said we try our best to make this clear on the plans page and ask contributors to do the same.
Refunds?
If the plan is not fit for purpose we will facilitate a refund. Unfortunately given the digital nature of the product we can't offer refunds for any other reason.
How can I sell or offer my plans for free?
Please reach out via the 'sell' tab and one of us will be in touch shortly. It takes a day or two to get your plans live once submitted.
